We, wer denkt was GmbH (as the operator of the website and the app), place great importance on protecting your personal data and safeguarding your privacy.
In general, you can use this website for informational purposes without providing any personal data.
In addition, you can actively become a Jobber or an appJobber customer and provide us with personal data on this website or through the use of the app, such as your email address during registration, your tax status, first and last name, and address when you complete your profile after registration, or your bank account information if you wish to withdraw your credit balance.
To the extent that such data is collected, stored, or used, this is done in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG), and other applicable legal provisions.
The following privacy policy describes the collection, storage, and use of your personal data in connection with the use of the website appjobber.com and all country-specific appJobber websites (hereinafter: appjobber.com) as well as the app. Furthermore, measures for the protection of this data are described. In doing so, we adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimization. We collect, store, and use your personal data exclusively in the manner described below. The appjobber.com website is hosted on servers in the AWS Cloud. The AWS Cloud is part of “Amazon Web Services” and is operated by Amazon Web Services EMEA Sarl, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855, Luxembourg.

This website and the app are subject to the provisions of the German Telemedia Act (TMG). The necessary technical and organizational measures have been taken to ensure that wer denkt was GmbH complies with data protection regulations.
We use the open-source software Matomo and Amazon CloudWatch for the statistical analysis of visitor traffic. Data is collected here only in anonymized form.
Personal data is collected only if you voluntarily provide it while using the website and/or app (e.g., when you contact us) or if you wish to register permanently on the website and/or app as a jobber or customer.
Any personal data we receive from you will be stored and processed in accordance with the GDPR.
Registration is only possible if you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and expressly consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
The following personal data is collected during user registration:

A password is stored for the user account, which is transmitted in encrypted form. For security and authentication purposes, we store passwords as hashes as well as temporary security tokens (e.g., for password reset).
As part of completing your profile as a Jobber and/or pre-qualifying for additional jobs that are either targeted at a specific audience or require more information for logistical reasons (e.g., when parcels need to be sent to Jobbers), we collect the following personal data:
The following personal data is collected during user registration:
- Tax status,
- Last name, first name,
- Street, house number,
- ZIP code, city, country,
- Phone number,
- Image files / documents (if applicable; voluntary as part of job completion),
- GPS location (if applicable) for automated location determination,
- Photo ID (if applicable) for age verification (voluntary provision as part of job completion),
- VAT ID (when registering as a business)
When using the appJobber smartphone app for Android and Apple operating systems, the following data is collected for the purpose of providing job listings:
- Manufacturer's device ID
- Login processes with IP address,
- Location data for reommending location-based jobs and for fraud prevention,
- Usage data within the app,
- Image data captured or uploaded by the user in the app,
- Text content related to job completion,
- Mobile phone model and operation system version
Social Logins:
Our services may allow you to register with us directly using your social media account. If you wish to use this feature, you will first be redirected to the respective social media platform. There, you will be prompted to log in with your username and password. We do not, of course, have access to your login credentials. If you are already logged in, this step is skipped. The respective social network will then inform you and ask you to confirm which data will be transmitted to us (e.g., public profile, email address, and current place of residence). We use the transmitted data to create your customer account. No further permanent link is established between your customer account and your account on the social network. In addition, we receive social network data from the providers of the respective social networks.
Push Service:
Our apps can notify you via push notifications about specific events or topics, even when you are not actively using the app. Push notifications are an app-specific form of notification that allows us to contact you directly. If you do not wish to receive these notifications, you can disable the push service at any time through your device settings or within the app’s settings.
When you enable the push notification service, your device is assigned a device-specific push ID. For technical reasons, push notifications cannot be sent to you without a push ID. The push ID consists solely of encrypted, randomly generated sequences of numbers.
If you request a payout of your balance—i.e., if you wish to issue an invoice to us—we will also collect personal data. This includes either
- the account holder's name, bank name, IBAN, and BIC for your bank account, or
- the e-mail address registered with PayPal.
Payments via PayPal are processed through PayPal’s API. For this purpose, your email address registered with PayPal and the payout amount are automatically transmitted to PayPal. For payouts to a bank account, the payment details are transferred to our bank.
We store your account information for as long as your account is active or as required to fulfill our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms and Conditions and other agreements.
If you are interested in becoming a business partner with us, we collect the following personal data to contact you:
- Company name,
- First name,
- Last name,
- Address,
- Phone number,
- E-mail address,
- Billing address
The personal data collected is used by appJobber for profiling, providing job opportunities, processing jobs, and making payments.
The stored data may be evaluated in pseudonymized form in accordance with GDPR—i.e., without reference to specific individuals—for statistical or scientific purposes in accordance with GDPR by wer denkt was GmbH or research partners (e.g., universities, institutes, and research colleges) in the public interest. Our technical and organizational measures ensure that the principle of data minimization is upheld in this process.
In addition, your personal data may be disclosed to third parties in the course of performing our services; these third parties use the data to provide services such as the delivery of packages (postal service providers such as DHL), the processing of payments (Deutsche Bank / Sparkasse Darmstadt), or for legal purposes such as compliance with court orders or directives. The aforementioned third-party providers have only temporary access to the personal data necessary for the performance of services.
To the extent that additional personal data has been provided to us, we use it solely to respond to and process inquiries and for technical administration.
If personal data is (or must be) disclosed to the client in the course of fulfilling an order, you will be explicitly asked to consent to this process.
The following applies only to registered business customers: We use the Pipedrive CRM system provided by Pipedrive OÜ based on our legitimate interests in the efficient and prompt processing of user inquiries, existing customer management, and new customer acquisition. Pipedrive is a private limited liability company in Estonia with the address Paldiski mnt 80, Tallinn, 10617, Estonia. Pipedrive undertakes to process user data only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with EU data protection standards. See Pipedrive’s privacy policy.
You can generally visit appjobber.com without having to provide any personal information. Regardless of this, the provider of this site automatically records visits to the website and stores this information in so-called server log files.
When you visit the site, the web server stores the following information to maintain system security:
- Browser type and version,
- Operating system used,
- Referrer URL,
- Hostname of the accessing computer,
- Time of the server request,
- IP address,
- Content accessed
This data remains anonymous to wer denkt was GmbH. It is therefore not possible to identify an individual. This data is not combined with other data sources.
To ensure the security of personal data transmission, the following measures, among others, are taken:
- During data collection: website authentication and at least AES-128 encryption,
- All communications between the web server and the client takes place via HTTPS.
Since complete data security cannot be guaranteed when communicating via email, we recommend sending confidential information by mail.
The use of cookies is required to use appjobber.com. Cookies are files that make visiting our site more user-friendly by remembering personal settings.

Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows website tags to be managed via a single interface. The data collected and analyzed when using Google Tag Manager is generally stored until you object to its use.
The appJobber app may use services provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; “Google”) for the purpose of displaying maps. Google must process your IP address in order to display the map. Google also collects data regarding your use of the map.
Google does not act as our data processor but as an independent data controller under data protection law. To this end, we have entered into a data transfer agreement with Google: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/.
The appJobber app may use services provided by Apple Inc. (Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA; “Apple”) for the purpose of displaying maps. Apple must process your IP address in order to display the map. Apple also collects data regarding your use of the map.

Your data protection rights are governed by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Under these provisions, you have the right to access the personal data we have stored about you, to learn about the purposes of the processing, any transfers to third parties, and the duration of storage.
